Samsung Galaxy Beam or Galaxy i8520, this is how one of the flagship phones that Samsung promised for some markets has become known. It is currently available in the Singapore markets and the news has spread today that it will not be updated to the new version of the Android 2.2 operating system, also known as Froyo. The news has not come out of nowhere, but has appeared on the official Facebook of the Samsung company, an increasingly helpful medium to publicize statements of this type.
The bad news spreads, since there are many interested in jumping to Froyo, especially if we consider that new versions have already come to light, paradoxically distant for users of terminals with Android. In fact, there are already several companies that have delayed updating to new versions. It was Samsung itself that last week delayed the switch to Froyo for the Samsung Galaxy S, probably until the end of October.
In turn, Sony-Ericsson left the Sony Ericsson X10 users in the lurch, those who have not yet been able to upgrade to the version prior to Froyo, also known as Android 2.1 or Éclair. In any case, we don't know if the Samsung Galaxy Beam will come close to Europe. For now, we know that the people of Singapore have at their fingertips a powerful terminal that bets on AMOLED technology in 3.7 inches and 480 x 800 pixels of resolution. Inside it awaits 16 GB of internal memory, ARM Cortex A8 processor running at 720 MHz and TouchWiz 3.0 user interface.
