The presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S4 could be just around the corner. Some sources indicate that this would take place in the month of March; another, on the other hand, comment that April is the month proposed by the company. However, a new protagonist could be added to this presentation. Although this would not be a smartphone , but a wristwatch with several functions: the Samsung Galaxy Altius.
A few months ago, the name of a Samsung plan was put on the table: the one known under the name "Project J". In it, they should fit, supposedly, the new members of the famous Samsung Galaxy family. And among which should be found the next banner of the company: the Samsung Galaxy S4. However, there is a new member that could join the next releases: a watch capable of having different functions such as playing music or pairing with an Android mobile to show incoming calls or notifications on the screen. The name given to this invention would be the Samsung Galaxy Altius.
A Korean media has leaked some screenshots of the alleged watch that the Korean giant would be working on. In them you can see how the operating system used by this equipment is still in the testing phase and would be renamed AltiusOS. Apparently, the first operational tests would be being carried out in his native country, Korea, where the national operator SKTelecom would be in charge of them.
It can also be seen that the memory of the Samsung Galaxy Altius, today, would be 256 MB, a capacity that has led to think that it would be an accessory rather than a device that works independently; that is to say: it would be a complement to be used with a smartphone on the market, quite possibly with a Samsung Galaxy model from the manufacturer's extensive catalog. Hence, you can imagine different functions: to be able to see at the moment who is calling at that precise moment, to control the reproduction of music or to read messages, as well as emails. And all this without having to take your smartphone out of your pocket or bag; just look at the user's wrist.
On the other hand, from the SamMobile page it was indicated that this Samsung Galaxy Altius could also be prepared to be an ideal complement for those more athletic users since it would be accompanied by bands for the arm or, it could be installed on a bicycle thanks to some stud specific.
At the moment, Samsung has not indicated that all this information is true. And much less, has confirmed if this smartwatch can one day be seen on the market. In the same way, it is not an idea that is far from reality: Sony, for example, has been selling SmartWatch for some time, an accessory that has a price of 140 euros and that offers the same functions of this possible clock of Samsung.
