Samsung already has prepared the new terminals that will form the Galaxy A family of 2017, so it has already officially presented them. The new Samsung Galaxy A7, Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 will become the first mid-range terminals that will see the light this year and, although they do not change much compared to their predecessors, they will allow us to see what we can expect from 2017. "Older brother" of this new family is the Samsung Galaxy A7, a terminal that, although less known in our country than its younger brothers, offers the best technical characteristics of the Galaxy A series. Its best weapons are a 5.7-inch screen, 16-megapixel main and front cameras, a large battery, and protection against water and dust. Let's go through the features of the new Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 in depth.

Design and display

The new Galaxy A series from 2017 offers a similar design to last year's models, with a metal structure and a back made of what Samsung calls 3D glass, very similar to the design of the Korean company's "top" terminals.. In the front we do not observe any important novelty, where the screen takes center stage along with the oval Home button, common in Samsung designs. The edges are rounded and the back sports a clean design, with nothing that stands out beyond the camera lens.

However, there is an important design innovation in the new Galaxy A 2017. And it is that the Korean company has endowed them, for the first time, with IP68 certification, which allows them to face elements such as rain, sweat, sand and dust. Theoretically, the certification indicates that the terminal can be submerged, but, of course, the company does not recommend it. The Samsung Galaxy A7 has a full dimensions of 156.8 x 77.6 x 7.9 mm. The weight has not been disclosed, but we assume it will be around 180-185 grams. The Galaxy A 2017 series arrives in four colors: Black Sky (black), Gold Sand (gold), Blue Mist (blue) and Peach Cloud (pink).

As for the screen, the new Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 will grow to 5.7 inches, compared to the 5.5 inches of the 2016 model. The same type of panel is maintained, that is, a Super AMOLED with Full resolution 1,920 x 1,080 pixel HD. As a novelty we also have the Always On Display screen, which allows you to check important notifications without having to unlock the device.

Another aspect that has been improved in the new Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is its photographic section. The main chamber increases to 16 megapixels and maintains an f / 1.9 aperture. It also includes a super-precise autofocus system, which allows better results even in photographs captured in low light conditions. The front chamber undergoes a major boost, going to have the same resolution as the main camera, 16 megapixels, and even the same aperture, f / 1.9, which shows that companies increasingly give more importance to selfies . The Korean company has even included the possibility of taking an instant selfie by touching any part of the screen, with the Floating Camera Button, and using the screen as a front flash to obtain brighter photos.

More power and more battery

The processor has not been revealed, so we do not yet know if it will be a Mediatek, a Snapdragon or a self-made Exynos processor. What we do know is that it will have eight cores and that it increases its operating speed to 1.9 GHz. Accompanying this processor we will have the same 3 GB of RAM as last year, but the internal storage increases from 16 to 32 GB. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 will support microSD memory card up to 256GB.

As for the battery, it increases to 3,600 milliamps, compared to the 3,300 milliamps that the 2016 model incorporated. A fast charging system is also included, of which data has not yet been provided. Of course, all the Galaxy A 2017 go to use a USB Type-C connector, which makes it clear that it will be the standard for next year. The Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 has not yet been officially announced for the European market, but the same happened last year and finally the terminal did arrive in our country. The Galaxy A series will be available in Europe in early February. Of course, the official price has not been revealed either, but we think it could be around 400 euros.
