Samsung revealed just a few days ago that it would not launch any more devices for the J range. However, the company will continue to work on entry phones. The last to make himself known will become part of the increasingly extensive A family. It is the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core, a basic terminal that comes governed by Android 9 Pie Go Edtion. This model also has a 5-inch screen, Exynos 7870 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 2,600 mAh battery. As you can see, very simple features for users who need a second mobile or for those who do not want to complicate life too much.

The Samsung Galaxy A2 Core comes to replace the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core, the company's first mobile with Android Go. This model came with Android 8.0 version, but this year it has Android 9.0 Pie. For those who do not know yet, Android Go is nothing more than a trimmed version of the system. Basically, it manages autonomy and performance better, so despite its discreet features it goes quite fast and fluid, not so slowed down. It also includes shorter classic apps.
The Galaxy A2 Core is constructed of polycarbonate. The front features pronounced bezels and a 5-inch TFT LCD panel with qHD resolution (540 x 960). Its back is also quite simple, without a fingerprint reader, a single sensor (with flash) and the company's logo presiding over the central part. Inside the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core there is space for an Exynos 7870 processor along with 1 GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 16 GB, we do not know if with the possibility of expansion or not.
At the photographic level, the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core shows that it is a very basic terminal. It includes a single 5-megapixel sensor and f / 1.9 aperture with a flash on the back, as well as a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies on the front. It is a simple set, which will not allow us to achieve quality images, only quick captures for something in particular when we do not have a better camera at hand. For the rest, the Galaxy A2 Core has a 2,600 mAh battery (without fast charging) and 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n Bluetooth 4.2 or microUSB for connections. The mobile also has FM radio.
Pricing and availability
For now, the Samsung Galaxy A2 Core has been put on sale in India at a price of 70 euros at the exchange. The terminal is available in a single version with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage in two colors to choose from: blue or black. We do not know if and when it will reach other countries.
