The AMOLED screens Samsung would have brought some problems to the Korean firm. And not precisely because they don't work well or do n't perform well. Nothing is further from reality. And is that Samsung, owner of this technology, has been overwhelmed by the request for these screens. Do not forget that not only have been used to form part of signed Samsung phones, but also have been used successfully in other terminals such as the Nexus One of Google.
At this point, Samsung has already announced that it faces a year of great challenges, despite the crisis. According to some media, the Korean company is finalizing the construction of a factory located in Korea, exclusively dedicated to the manufacture of AMOLED screens. The idea is to avoid that there is still such a patent shortage, which is why Samsung has real difficulties in applying this technology to its phones and also supplying panels of this type to other manufacturers. It should be said that the second generation of Nexus One will be made with panelsS-LCD, instead of having the AMOLED integrated.
In this sense, the factory that will be installed in Korea will have the capacity to increase production by up to three million units, thus generating a global manufacture of up to 30 million screens, useful for installing on mobiles that will require them. According to Samsung's calculations, it is quite possible that in the coming years the demand for AMOLED displays will continue to progress, such that there may be up to 700 million devices in 2015. It will be necessary to see in that sense, if Samsung also guarantees coverage to the terminals of other brands that have decided to opt for this technology.
