The mini versions of Samsung's flagships tend to attract a lot of looks. These are phones with features very similar to those of the standard model, but with a smaller size and a lower price. After the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 +, the Asian company would already be working on the S9 mini. The device has been seen in a performance test, revealing part of its characteristics.
The new terminal has appeared in the last hours with model number SM-G8750. From what can be seen, it would have a Qualcomm processor instead of the Exynos included in the Galaxy S9 that have landed in Europe. We imagine that it would be a Snapdragon 845, although to confirm this we will have to wait for it to become official. As for the RAM, the Samsung Galaxy S9 mini would have a 4 GB, exactly the same included in the standard S9. There is no word on the internal storage capacity, but let's hope it lands with 64GB minimum.
The leaked data in the benchmark is pretty sparse. Therefore, we cannot know at the moment what screen size, resolution or camera would be included in the S9 mini. The Samsung Galaxy S9 offers a 5.8-inch panel with a curved Quad HD SuperAMOLED resolution with an 18.5: 9 aspect ratio. The size may be reduced slightly to honor your mini surname. However, we hope that the 18: 9 aspect ratio and resolution will be preserved. Likewise, the photographic section could also be affected with somewhat lower characteristics. We imagine that the single 12-megapixel sensor would be retained, but perhaps fewer features will be added than on its older brother.
For the rest, the Samsung Galaxy S9 mini would continue to be governed by Android 8.0 Oreo, the version that is handled in the S9 and S9 +. It is the latest mobile operating system from Google, which includes notable improvements, such as smarter notifications or slight changes in the design that make it even more intuitive. We do not know when Samsung would announce the Galaxy S9 mini and if it will eventually become a reality. We will inform you as soon as we have more information about it.
