On March 8, Samsung put the new Galaxy S10 family on sale in Spain. With the launch of the devices, the South Korean took the opportunity to reveal a 30% increase in the reservation period of the terminals compared to what was registered in the previous generation. The company also gave figures for its home market, South Korea, where pre-sales have risen 20% year-over-year. In the UK, exactly the same has happened as in Spain, a 30% rise in pre-bookings. In the latter case they have also given an additional data: 57% of total sales were of the Galaxy S10 +, the company's most expensive model.
All these figures show that Samsung has gotten off to a very good start selling its flagship phones. This year there are three models to choose from. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is the standard version and can be purchased in our country at a price of 910 euros. The most exclusive model, Galaxy S10 +, is on sale for 1,010 euros. The smallest of the family, Galaxy S10e, is available for 760 euros.
The main difference between the new S10 is in the screen, camera or battery. The S10 and S10 + offer a 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch QHD + curved panel, respectively. The one on the S10e is flat and has a size of 5.8 inches FHD +. All three have a 19: 9 aspect ratio and use Dynamic AMOLED technology. At the photographic level, while the S10 and S10 + include a triple 12 +12 + 16 megapixel sensor, the S10e has a double 12 +16 megapixel sensor.
All three are powered by an eight-core Exynos processor and come governed by Android 9 Pie along with the company's Samsung ONE UI customization layer. The battery is another of its differences. The S10e has a capacity of 3,100 mAh with fast charging 2.0 and wireless charging for sharing. The S10 and S10 + are 3,400 and 4,100 mAh, respectively, with fast charging 2.0 and wireless charging for sharing.
At the moment, it is too early to talk about sales figures. However, the predictions of the popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo speak of between 40 and 45 million units sold of the Galaxy S10 throughout 2019. If it comes true, this would represent an increase of between 30 and 40% compared to the year past.
