The Korean Samsung has already made official the second edition of its popular economic touch mobile. We refer to the Samsung Corby II (or Samsung S3850), a terminal that was already discussed during the last mobile fair in Barcelona, but which has not been until these days when it has been confirmed with images and some of its specifications. Like the original edition, the Samsung Corby II has a rounded and very attractive appearance, and is especially aimed at young audiences, as well as those who want to start using touch terminals.
In principle, the Samsung Corby II will be released at the end of March in Germany, although it will be distributed during the month of April throughout the rest of Europe. What the manufacturer has not yet revealed is how much this terminal will cost, although it is taken for granted that it will share the status of an economic mobile with its predecessor.
In terms of performance, the Samsung Corby II improves significantly compared to the version that was released in winter 2009. It still does not have a 3G connection (for the peace of mind of parents who have to pay the bill for boys using the Samsung Corby II), although It makes up for this with a new 802.11n compliant Wi-Fi sensor. It also has a 3.2-inch screen, which happens to be capacitive (the previous edition was resistive).
If you are thinking about the option that the manufacturer has included the Samsung Corby II in its Android mobile catalog, we have to tell you that this is out of the question. The Samsung Corby II is still a terminal with the native system of the house and the TouchWiz interface.
In addition, the camera still has a resolution of two megapixels. So the price remains to be confirmed, that if it is as cheap as expected, this Samsung Corby II could be the new best seller of the firm for the low range.
