The South Korean company Samsung has already officially presented the Samsung Galaxy S5. Despite this, it seems that the South Koreans have not yet informed us of all the news that this smartphone will bring. As it has been known through an image published (and later withdrawn a few minutes after its publication) by Samsung on its own website, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will receive a new variant that will differ by its processor: instead of the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 of four cores we will find a Exynos 5422 of eight cores.
But it is not the first time that the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S5 may be available in two different editions has been discussed. Before this terminal was officially presented, many performance tests showed that Samsung was working on two versions of the Galaxy S5 that precisely matched the specifications of the processors that have been officially confirmed this time. This new eight-core processor would have a clock speed that would be divided into four cores working at 2.1 GHz and another four cores working at 1.5 GHz. In principle, the rest of the specifications would remain intact, so the only difference between the two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 would reside in its processor (and probably also in its price).
The other novelty that has been known along with this rumor affects the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo. In the opinion, this terminal will also receive a new version that will keep all the features of the original terminal intact except for the processor, which would become a Exynos 5260 of six cores that operate at a speed of divided clock two cores working at 1.7 GHz and the other four cores working at 1.3 GHz. Recall that until now this smartphone had been announced under two different versions with four and eight core processorsrespectively. The information about this specific terminal is somewhat diffuse, since some sources also indicate that the processor of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo will receive a variant that will go to other low-mid-range mobiles.
Production of the new processor for the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to start up at the end of March, while the production of the new processor for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo has already started so hopefully Samsung will not take long. in bringing to the market the novelties that will incorporate this processor.
Despite the fact that all this information has emerged from Samsung's own website, we must be careful when interpreting this data since it is also possible that we are facing some editions that will only reach certain markets. What is clear is that the large manufacturers seem to have realized that there is such competition between different brands that for a terminal to be successful in the market it is necessary to launch it in several editions that cover the needs of all types of user.
