South Korean company Samsung does not seem to want the rumors related to its new metal-cased smartphone to stop. This is demonstrated by recent statements by Kim Hyun-Joon, a senior Samsung official who has stated that his company will soon present a mobile with a larger screen (probably referring to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4) and another mobile " designed with new materials " (surely referring to the Samsung Galaxy F, which is expected to feature a metal casing).
Taking into account these statements, to this day it could be said that the Samsung Galaxy F is still a reality, since we remember that the rumors in relation to this mobile stopped at the moment when information related to the Samsung Galaxy Alpha appeared. Until now there were indications that the Samsung Galaxy Alpha could be the replacement for the Samsung Galaxy F, but after the photographs that have appeared revealing the appearance of the Galaxy Alpha we can practically confirm that both phones are completely different.
And having this last appreciation clear, the first thing we should know is that the Samsung Galaxy F is a smartphone that, if confirmed, will incorporate a metal casing that will replace the conventional plastic casings with which Samsung designs its mobiles. As for technical specifications, the Galaxy F could come with a screen of 5.3 inches to reach a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. Inside a processor stay Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 of four cores together with a memory RAM of 3 gigabytes. The internal storage space would be established at 32 GigaBytes of capacity. The operating system would correspond to Android in one of its most recent versions (see Android 4.4.2 KitKat). In general terms, the design of the Samsung Galaxy F would be very similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, we are facing a mobile that will incorporate the usual plastic casing that Samsung complements with a rough touch. This smartphone incorporate a screen 4.8 inches with a resolution of 720 pixels. Although there is still no information related to the processor, it is rumored that the internal storage capacity will be 32 GigaBytes and cannot be expanded using a microSD card. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, there are rumors that its presentation will take place on August 4.
Given that all this information can be somewhat confusing, it is best to interpret it with caution while waiting for the official presentation of both mobiles to take place. In the event that Samsung does not reveal any news on August 4, the next date on which we will surely know official information about these two mobiles is the month of September, more specifically in the IFA 2014 event that takes place between the days 5 and 10 of said month.
