Samsung Bada gives the lug. The native platform that the Korean manufacturer reserves for its Wave line is presented in version 2.0 almost a year after its presentation at the Mobile World Congress 2010. There is no confirmed date for the update process to begin from the current Samsung Bada 1.2 version to Samsung Bada 2.0, although they do point out from the company in a statement that it will be in 2011 when the new version is switched.
Among the most interesting novelties that version 2.0 of Samsung's mobile operating system will bring, the Korean manufacturer highlights the multitasking function (something strange, since the Samsung Wave S8500 does support multitasking), as well as the fashionable system for Mobile phones in 2011: NFC support to make payments with the mobile phone as a credit card (as long as the phone equips the proximity communication chip that the operation requires).
They are not the only stars of the party in Samsung Bada 2.0. We also recognize other points of interest, such as compatibility with new operating systems for the SDK packages for developers. Until now, those responsible for creating applications for Samsung Apps (the Korean download portal), could not work on Mac or Linux, which is corrected in Samsung Bada 2.0.
In addition, and this is interesting, Samsung is preparing a redesign of the user interface (the TouchWiz), accompanied by a new proposal for environments and access to applications, something that raises a lot of expectation among users and fans of mobile telephony.
However, from Samsung they do not advance anything about the appearance that Bada will have in its new version. This has also raised suspicions about a small revolution in the interface of Samsung's Android, something that the company itself has not addressed.
On the other hand, Samsung Bada will incorporate some new features in the web experience, such as HTML5 support, the addition of the Flash Lite 4 module, as well as improvements in the security of the platform itself. Recall that Samsung has sold five million devices of the Wave family worldwide, pointing in its forecasts for 2011 that it will manage to place another ten million units only in the first half of the new year.
