The South Korean company has presented at the Samsung Developer Conference 2018, One UI, the new customization layer for its Galaxy phones. One UI comes under Android 9 Pie, which is the latest version of Android to date. Samsung's new interface is also much more minimalist, with user-friendly options and very colorful. We tell you all the details below
According to Samsung itself, the new layer of personalization focuses on three phases: focus, natural interaction and comfort. One UI undergoes distribution changes in the settings, configurations and applications so that it is much more comfortable for the user. An example: applications are divided into two sections. The lower part, where the user intellectuals, while the upper part is where we will have to see the important content. In addition, the settings and pop-up notices are adapted by changing their location to the lower area, in this way, it will be more comfortable for us to select an option.
How could it be otherwise, the interface also reflects aesthetic changes. Now it has a much more minimalist design, with pastel tones and rounded corners. Another interesting aspect is that we can choose between different general tones. In this way, the applications will adapt to the color. Fortunately, a dark mode is also coming and the content will be fully adapted. The company is likely to announce more features once the beta is released.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9, the first to receive it
Samsung has taken the opportunity to announce the launch date of One UI for its two flagships. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 will receive the final version during the month of January 2019. The beta phase will be open to users who own these devices, however, only for selected countries. Spain in this case is not included. At least, for now, since later they will open the beta to other countries.
