Sony still has a lot to say in the mobile phone sector. Or at least that is what these latest renderings of the future Sony Xperia 2 indicate. With these images we can see that Sony still has a long way to go if it wants to dazzle users. But that does not mean that it is a bad terminal or that its design does not convince anyone. We are going to tell you all about this possible new terminal signed by the company of the rising sun.
Sony Xperia 2, rectangular design and premium finishes
The front of this terminal would have a screen diagonal of a considerable size. If we take into account the market trend, we could speak of between 6 and 7 inches. The frames are seen reduced, at least on the sides and at the bottom, while the upper part of the terminal, as it does not have any type of notch, has a more outdated appearance. But for the notch naysayers, this will be a boon. Instead, some of us would prefer a raindrop-style notch to a sizable top frame.
In this upper part the camera would be housed, on the left side and right in the middle, the earphone grid for calls. Next to this grid we have the proximity sensor or at least that is what we intuit from these images. On the sides we would find the button panel, although practically all of it is on the right side. They are buttons that Sony has us used to, such as the specific button for the camera, located on the lower side of the terminal where it is accessible and comfortable if we have the mobile horizontally. The other buttons are in a somewhat strange position, the unlock button appears to be lower than normal. But we emphasize that this image is nothing more than a render so this could change. The left side for his part is completely naked.
Turning the terminal we find a back of what appears to be glass with a matte finish. This glass at least in the renderings is black, possibly when it becomes official it will offer more colors. The three cameras are housed in this rear, in a capsule placed in the upper left part and in a vertical position. On top of this camera would be both the dual-tone LED flash and what appears to be a laser sensor to help focus in the photographs. The signature logo placed smack dab in the center, where we might have expected a fingerprint reader. In principle we assume that this fingerprint reader is integrated into the screen.
Going down to the bottom we find the USB C port and the absence of the headphone port already common among high-end terminals except for Samsung with its Galaxy S10, S10 +, S10e. Accompanying this port are two grilles, one of them would be the speaker and the other the earpiece for calls. The tray for the SIM and the microSD in principle would be on the left side.
