Panasonic has just released two new devices aimed at the elderly in the house. On the one hand, the company has presented the TU446, a model resistant to falls and shocks from a height of 1.5 meters. On the other hand we find the Panasonic TU400, a more basic model that will hit the market in the coming weeks.
Easy to use and with a distress button for emergencies
The new line of mobile phones for the elderly from Panasonic is committed to ease of use, with a 2.4-inch screen in both models of the brand and a backlit keyboard that helps to differentiate letters and numbers.
The TU446 model also adds an LED light that allows identifying incoming calls according to the contact. The latter has a reinforced chassis resident to bumps and drops of 1.5 meters high. Both have a help button that allows you to quickly contact the emergency contacts that we have previously configured.
This button will recursively call up a list of emergency contacts. In case of no response, the phone will automatically send an SMS to request help from them.
Improved calls and up to 600 hours of autonomy in standby mode
Panasonic has announced that the new TU400 and TU446 integrate a system that allows to adjust the sound to the low and high voices to improve communication with different members of the family. This system promises to provide enough volume to hear conversations in noisy situations and areas, such as shopping malls or busy streets.
The icing on the cake is autonomy. The brand has announced an autonomy of 450 and 600 hours in standby mode respectively. To facilitate the charging process, a charging base is incorporated to dock the device as easily as possible.
Price and availability of the Panasonic TU400 and TU446 in Spain
While the TU400 will hit the market in a few weeks in gray, red and turquoise, the TU446 is already available in black, red and gray at different points of sale. On Amazon, the price of the latter is 70 euros. The price of the TU400 is not yet known, at least at the time of this writing.
