The Mobile World Congress is one of the most important mobile phone events of the year. It is held in the city of Barcelona, and between February 24 and 27 all the technological innovations that will mark the course of the mobile phone market this year 2014 are presented. Both the large manufacturers and the more modest companies have already prepared the news that they will announce at this event, and below we will tell you what phones we can expect to see at this technological event. Let's not forget that some phones have already been officially confirmed, but many others remain a mystery even a few days after the Mobile World Congress.
Samsung
South Koreans Samsung are one of the most anticipated manufacturers at this event. Although there is no official confirmation, all the rumors suggest that we will be able to attend an official presentation of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. It will be the highest-end mobile that the company has manufactured so far, and it is said that one of its great novelties could be a fingerprint scanner directly integrated into the start button. Regarding its specifications, it is most likely that we will find a mobile with a 5.25-inch screen, a processor with four or even eight cores, a RAM of 3 GigaBytes, Internal storage of up to 128 gigabytes and a main camera of 16 megapixels. The presentation of this mobile could take place on February 24.
HTC
Taiwanese company HTC is also keeping a lot of secrecy ahead of MWC. Everything indicates that this manufacturer will present its new HTC M8, the successor to the current HTC One, during this event. This mobile may incorporate a screen five inches, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores to 2.3 GHz, a memory RAM of two gigabytes, internal storage of 16 gigabytes, main chamber four megapixels technology Ultrapixel and battery2,900 mAh. In principle, the presentation of this mobile is expected to take place on February 25. If we echo other rumors, we could also say that there are quite a few ballots that HTC presents with the HTC M8 an HTC M8 Mini with somewhat simpler technical specifications.
Sony
The Japanese manufacturer Sony is not going to miss this event, and in principle it is expected to present two mobiles. The first would be the Sony Xperia Z2, the successor to the current Sony Xperia Z1. We speak of a smartphone that incorporate a screen 5.2 inches, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores, a memory RAM of 3 gigabytes, internal storage 16 gigabytes and a main chamber with sensor 20.7 megapixels.
The other motive that could be presented at this event would be the Sony Xperia G. We speak of a mobile midrange that come with a screen of 4.3 inches, processor dual core with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz, a memory RAM of 1 gigabyte, 16 gigabytes of internal storage and, most surprisingly of all, Android operating system in its Android 4.4 KitKat version.
And although it is not a mobile, we must also highlight the possible presentation of the new Sony Xperia Z2 tablet. Its technical specifications would be formed by a screen 10.1 inches, a processor of four cores running at 2.3 GHz clock speed, memory RAM of 3 gigabytes, internal storage of 16 and 32 gigabytes, main chamber eight megapixels and battery 6,000 milliamperes.
LG
The South Korean company LG has already presented the mobile that it will show during the Mobile World Congress. This is the LG G Pro 2, a smartphone that comes to replace the current LG G Pro with a screen six inches, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores at 2.26 GHz, 3 gigabytes of memory RAM, 16 and 32 gigabytes of internal storage, main camera 13 megapixel and battery capacity of 3,000 mAh.
There are also many rumors that the South Koreans will present an LG G2 Mini alongside their flagship. It would be a cheaper and simpler version of the LG G2. Its technical specifications we could find a screen 4.7 inches, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores and 2 gigabytes of memory RAM.
It should also be noted that at this event the three mid-range mobiles that this company presented a few days ago will be officially presented: the LG L90, the LG L70 and the LG L40.
Nokia
Finnish manufacturer Nokia has been playing catch-up with the media for many months. Even so, we can say with almost total security that during this event we will be able to attend at least one of these two mobiles: the Nokia X and the Nokia Lumia 929 Icon.
The Nokia X would come to suppose a great revolution among the mobiles of this manufacturer since it would come standard with the Android operating system (probably in its version Android 4.3 Jelly Bean). It would be a first contact by the Finnish with the operating system of Google, so that this mobile would have a specification of low-medium range that include a display of four inches, a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 of four cores, a RAM memory of 512 MegaBytes and an internal storage of 4 GigaBytes.
On the other hand we could also see the presentation of the Nokia Lumia 929 Icon. It would become a smartphone with a five-inch screen that was originally only announced to land in the United States, but apparently Nokia could also present a European version of this terminal at the Mobile World Congress. All other specifications are complemented by a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 of four cores running at 2.2 GHz clock speed, a memory RAM of two gigabytes and a camera with a sensor20 megapixels.
Huawei
The Chinese company Huawei will take advantage of this event to present, quite possibly, two new smartphones. The first would be the Huawei Ascend P7, a mobile would come with a screen five inches, a processor of four cores running at 1.6 GHz, a memory RAM of two gigabytes, internal storage of 16 gigabytes and a main chamber 13 megapixels.
The other mobile that could be presented during this event would be the Huawei Ascend D3, successor to the current Huawei Ascend D2. We are talking about a terminal about which very little information is known, although one of its main novelties could be an eight-core processor with a clock speed that has not yet been released.
Acer
The Taiwanese manufacturer Acer has already announced the novelties that it will present at the Mobile World Congress 2014. It will be a new mobile that will become part of the Liquid range of this company. Its appearance will be very similar to that of the Acer Liquid Z5, while its technical specifications will be closer to the characteristics of the Acer Liquid S2.
ZTE
The Chinese company ZTE will also be present at the MWC event. Its managers have confirmed that they will be seen at this event to present the new ZTE Grand Memo II LTE, a mobile that will replace the current ZTE Grand Memo. In principle, among its specifications we will have a six-inch screen, and practically that is the only specification that is known about this terminal that could even be considered as a phablet (that is, a hybrid between a mobile phone and a tablet).
