The American company Apple is about to introduce a major change in the security of iPhones (including iPads as well). It turns out that with the update ios 9, Apple will force users to change the password for your iPhone to increase to six digits. That is, our four-digit password ( 1234 , for example) will no longer be valid, and we must modify it to six digits ( 123456 , for example) to comply with the new security measures that Appleintends to introduce into their devices. Of course, we still have time to think about a new password, since the iOS 9 update is not expected until the end of the year.
But is it really useful to increase the number of digits in an iPhone or iPad password ? Mathematics says yes, since in this way the number of possible combinations is increased from 10,000 to 1,000,000 (in other words, it will be impossible for someone to guess our password by sheer luck). But, at the same time, this novelty will do little or nothing as long as the world's most popular passwords continue to have combinations such as 123456 , abc123 , 123123 or 111111 . In iOS 9, AppleIt will give us the possibility of increasing the security of unlocking our iPhone through a longer password (and, for our sake, something more complex).
But the news of iOS 9 will not end there. This new update of the operating system iOS will come full of changes, and users of the iPhone will probably be interested in changes like mode Battery Saver, which will increase the autonomy of the mobile up to three hours, the news of the voice assistant Siri, which will now be much more intelligent and will even be able to recognize our customs and habits, and some news in applications such as Maps, Notes or the new News application.
In any case, until iOS 9 begins to be distributed among all users, we will still have to wait some time. At the moment, the only thing that can be downloaded are the previous versions of this update, which are still in tests and are not recommended for users who want to make conventional use of their mobile (although, if we dare, we can already download the first iOS 9 trial version). The final distribution of the iOS 9 update will wait until September, and from that date on, users from iPhone 4S to iPhone 6, iPad 2, iPad Air 2 and from iPad Mini to Mini 3 they can download and install it directly on their devices.
