We are still hungover from the BlackBerry KEYone presented at the MWC. But it is time to look to the future, and the firm would be preparing a new launch for the next few months. The BlackBerry BBC100-1 has been leaked into a couple of quality images showing its design. In them we can see a model with a size of 5.5 inches, with 2.5D curved glass and a housing with a grid texture. Can BlackBerry go back in the market?
The filtered images of the BlackBerry BBC100-1 allow us to get an idea of what will be the next mobile of the company. It seems clear that the name is not final, since it seems to be taken from one of the last Star Wars movies. Regardless of what its commercial name is going to be, this model would stand out for the contrast between its front and back.
In the front we would have a fairly clean design, with thin frames and curved 2.5D glass. At the bottom we would have the BlackBerry logo. What disappears from this design is the use of the physical keyboard with which we were surprised the BlackBerry Keyone. At this point, it seems difficult to introduce a mobile with a keyboard that succeeds… Even if they tell the Nokia 3310.
At the back of this mobile we would have a very different casing with a metal grid texture. What is not clear to us is if indeed the rear area would be like this or if they have put a personalized cover for the photo.
Specifications and Features
So far, some of the features that this mobile will have have been leaked. In its guts, for example, it would include an eight-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor. The surprising thing about this case is that it would be accompanied by a RAM memory of up to 4 GB. The internal memory would amount to 32 GB.
As for its screen, the BlackBerry BBC100-1 would bet on the 5.5-inch format. A format that is getting closer to becoming the standard for mobile phones. Of course, with HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels in this case. A somewhat low resolution for the screen size in which we move. The last of the leaks speaks of a 3,000 milliamp battery, which would complete a fairly simple technical set (aside from the 4 GB of RAM).
What is still unknown is whether this mobile would arrive with the Android operating system. In the following weeks we will have more data.
