This week the curtain rises on IFA 2011, the German electronics fair that marks the novelties of the second half of the year. The Samsung South Korea will use the event to unveil some of their news from the segmeno Galaxy, its family of devices with Android (including phones and tablets).
One of the devices that could be seen in the event that is scheduled for next Thursday would be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, the fourth tablet of its advancement of personal screens. Although still has not been put on sale the model Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, the new terminal is called to complete a poker format that facilitates the user to choose the design that best suits your needs.
Thanks to the guys from Android Life we have been able to know what the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 will look like. In a couple of filtered images (which, however, are not of excessive quality either) we can roughly taste the design of the next tablet of the Korean firm, verifying that it will be a device that follows the line of the first generation Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Two points of this Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 greatly attract attention: the location of the native connection port and the presence of capacitive buttons on the frame. Regarding the first point, the dock is again located on one of the short sides of the design, so that it would be connected, so to speak, vertically. This was also the case with the first Samsung Galaxy Tab, which changed with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, whose bay was at the long end to connect horizontally.
As for the second point, it is curious that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 extracts the Android control buttons and places them in the frame. As you well know, the Honeycomb version of the Google platform inserts the four main controls within the touch interface of the system, so the fact that this Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 places them in the frame presages the possibility (unknown, for now) that it does not include Honeycomb. In any case, nothing prevents the device from offering external controls to the screen itself while running Android 3.2.
