Xiaomi's Mi Mix line has been on the market for some years now, innovating with each launch. Since 2016 the Chinese manufacturer has been looking to offer a terminal that maximizes the screen frames. For this, various solutions for the front camera have been invented. While in the first models they put it in the lower frame, in the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 they opted for the sliding screen. Now data about a terminal whose code name is "Hercules" has appeared on the web. The characteristics of this device are those of a true flagship, so everything seems to indicate that we would be facing the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
The information has been published by Mishaal Rahman, editor-in-chief of XDA Developers. Apparently this has been located in the source code of the operating system. In it they have found references to a new device called Xiaomi Hercules. As you can imagine, it is a code name. However, the specifications are of a high-end mobile, so it is more than likely that we are facing the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
High-end hardware for an unknown mobile
Very little is known about this terminal yet, but the source code has revealed some possible features. According to published information, the Xiaomi Hercules will feature a Snapdragon 855 processor manufactured by Qualcomm. In addition, the possible Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will have NFC and a fingerprint reader hidden under the screen.
Apparently, we will also have an improvement in the photographic section compared to its predecessor. At least in the main cameras, since there is talk of a triple sensor system.
Something strange is that, on the front, the code reveals a single sensor. And we say that it is strange because the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has a double sensor. Finally, the leaked information ensures that the possible Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 will have wireless charging. The current model has a somewhat fair battery, so we hope that the manufacturer also increases the autonomy.
At the moment that is all we know about the possible new member of the Mi Mix family. We still need to know a very important fact. And this is none other than whether Xiaomi will keep the sliding screen design or keep some other option up its sleeve. What if the switch to a single front camera means that Xiaomi has figured out how to place the sensor for selfies under the screen? Although it is to speak for itself, it is very likely that this is the long-term goal of most manufacturers.
