The first smartphone from Nokia with Windows Phone and a dual SIM card slot seems to be just around the corner. If a few months ago it was known that Nokia would offer a dual SIM version of the Lumia 625, now it seems that this feature will be seen exclusively in some of the future terminals of the Lumia range. Specifically, the candidates to inaugurate the dual-SIM feature with Windows Phone are the Nokia Lumia 630 and the Nokia Lumia 635.
This news has been released through a capture of what corresponds to a Windows Phone 8 menu of a mobile from the Lumia range. In this image you can see that in the upper left part of the interface a 3G connection appears twice, which would indicate that this particular mobile has a double slot for SIM cards. The capture comes from one of Twitter's most trusted mobile phone rumor sources, the @evleaks account.
In this same capture it can also be seen that the next Nokia smartphone will incorporate the Nokia MixRadio, HERE Maps and Vine applications as standard. The Nokia MixRadio application allows you to listen to songs without interruptions as if it were a radio. The HERE Maps application, as its name suggests, is the Nokia Maps application. And Vine is an official video upload application created by Twitter that allows you to upload videos up to six seconds long.
The information available so far regarding the Lumia 630/635 is quite scarce. In principle, the specifications of this terminal would be below the characteristics of the Lumia 625. What does seem to be practically confirmed is that the screen of this mysterious terminal will be less than 4.5 inches.
And why are you talking about two different Lumia models (630 and 635)? To this day it is unknown whether the next Nokia smartphone will have the 630 or 635 designation. Most likely, Nokia will launch the two models (the Lumia 630 and the Lumia 635) with the peculiarity that one of them will incorporate the dual- SIM slot and the other will not. This would be the only explanation to understand why these two Lumia models have been leaked on the Internet.
Smartphones with a dual SIM card slot are primarily geared towards emerging markets. It is these countries (see, for example, Brazil) that are most likely to receive this terminal in their markets. Even so, we cannot rule out that this new Nokia smartphone will also reach the European market. The double SIM card slot is useful to handle two cards from the same terminal, thus being able to have two different phone numbers on the same smartphone. If this news is confirmed, this terminal could now be added to the list of dual SIM mobiles available in Spain.
