Little by little rumors are appearing related to the specifications of the LG G3, the successor of the current LG G2. LG's new smartphone already starred in some timid covers a few months ago (specifically in August) when the South Korean company LG presented its new 5.5-inch screen with one of the most advanced technologies on the market. This screen included the specification IPS LCD that allowed reach 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution Quad HD. Although it is true that at that time the LG 3 was not mentioned at allIt was evident that such a technology could only correspond to a smartphone of the highest range of LG.
Well, as time goes by, new data appear that increasingly show the proximity of the launch of the new LG G3. In addition to the fact that the LG G3 is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2014, it has been known that this smartphone will incorporate an eight-core processor developed by LG, as noted by the Korean newspaper ZDNet Korea. The processor of this terminal would respond to the name of LG Odin and would offer a performance of 2.2 GHz. In addition to its processor, the LG G3it could defend itself against its competition with another remarkable feature: a main camera of 16 megapixels, almost up to the goal that incorporates the Nokia Lumia 1520 (20 megapixels).
Although Korean sources suggest that the new LG G3 would hit the market in the second half of 2014, it should be noted that Samsung seems to be preparing the launch of its Galaxy S5 for the first half of the same year. These two terminals will star in a good sales battle since they practically correspond to the same category (two high-end terminals that will have similar prices). In summary, it is very correct to think that LG could advance the release of its smartphone to a date much closer to that of the S5.
How could it be otherwise, the LG G3 would incorporate the Android operating system. The question resides in whether it will be the latest version, Android 4.4 KitKat, or if instead users would have to endure a few weeks with Android 4.3 until they could update their terminal to the most recent version. Given that the terminal would hit the market next year, the most likely option is that it already comes with Android 4.4 KitKat installed as standard.
Returning to the issue of the processor that LG has developed, the LG Odin, it should also be noted that not only the new LG G3 will incorporate this novelty. The new tablets of the G Pad range should also begin to incorporate this processor from next year 2014. During the last weeks no relevant information has appeared regarding the tablets of this company, so we cannot highlight any tablet model in the one that LG might be currently working on.
