Until now, the censorship par excellence in matters of sex had been Apple. In fact, in its application store it has banned developers who work with erotic content on several occasions, not to mention the instant cuts when they dare to name the competition or criticize the benefits of the store. The fact is that now, another giant like Microsoft has just sentenced different bans for its Marketplace, a place where applications are also sold. In a list of requirements published by Microsoft developers will findforbidden words like porn, drugs and alcohol.
Until now, in the Marketplace we could find all the updates of Microsoft's programs published, although now, with the rise of Windows Phone 7 and applications, those of Redmond will dedicate part of their effort to do the same as Apple or Nokia: sell small applications in an online market.
In the statement that Microsoft has published, any content that can cross the border of the erotic and the pornographic, violence, discrimination or racism is prohibited. The specifications are clear: no nudity, semi-nude or images that can incite sex or prostitution. They have been just as forceful with the applications that can advocate for drugs, tobacco or alcohol and ultimately, promote any event or demonstration that may be illegal.
Developers who want to publish applications in the Marketplace, will be taken into account l as own economic conditions that puts Microsoft. Through a fee of $ 99, 82 euros to change, the developer will have the possibility to publish up to four free applications and a limited number of paid applications, the benefits of which will be distributed during the year in a proportion of 70% for the developer and the 30% for Microsoft.
