After several weeks of rumors and leaks of all kinds, the Motorola One Macro is official. The terminal completes the Motorola One series, currently made up of the Motorola One Zoom, the Motorola One Action and the Motorola One Zoom, with a design that inherits from its older brothers and hardware that for the first time is based on the technology of Mediatek. Under the chassis we find what is possibly the star feature of the phone: its camera. A camera composed of three lenses, although perhaps the one that arouses the most interest is the one that gives the device its name.

Macro lens: the main argument of the Motorola One Macro
Motorola has decided to give a twist to its lower mid-range of mobiles by presenting a phone that stands out for bringing the macro lens to the usual camera configuration.
Composed of three independent sensors, the phone uses three cameras of 13, 2 and 2 megapixels with apertures f / 2.0 and f / 2.2. While the first two have a standard lens, the third sensor uses a macro lens that allows us to take pictures of close objects, such as insects, flowers, animals, specks of sand and even liquids.
The company has not given many details about the focal length of the sensor, but everything indicates that it will do its job well enough; so we can see it in the video published by Motorola itself on its official Twitter account. Of the second sensor, it is worth highlighting its functions to improve photographs in portrait mode, although it is not a ToF sensor.
Mediatek under the phone chassis
For the first time in history, Motorola has decided to integrate a Mediatek processor into its One series. In this case, the Motorola One Macro uses a Mediatek P70 processor, along with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Although the company has not confirmed it, it is expected that Android One under Android 9 Pie is the version of the system that moves under the guts of the device.
The rest of the specifications include Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, FM radio and USB Type-C connections with support for Motorola's 10W fast charge.
Matching battery and compact design
In the design section there are few differences that we find with respect to other terminals of the same brand. Notch in the shape of a drop of water, materials based on polycarbonates and a screen with 6.2-inch IPS LCD technology and HD + resolution.
Perhaps the highlight of the One Macro is its battery, which is worth no less than 4,000 mAh, not inconsiderable considering the size of the device and the weight, which in none of the cases exceeds 9 millimeters in thickness and the 190 grams. It also has IPX2 protection designed to "repel water", according to Motorola.
Motorola One Macro price and availability
At the moment the phone has been presented in India, and its price to change is only 130 euros, which could be 150 or 160 to reach Spain. The date today is a mystery.
