This could be the performance of the lg g5 compared to the lg g4
On February 21, LG will present its new flagship, the LG G5, in Barcelona. During these days a series of leaks have been appearing that have given us clues of what the new terminal of the Koreans could be like. The latest published data correspond to some possible performance tests carried out on the LG G5.
Apparently, these tests would have been carried out with the popular Geekbench application, a test that tests the performance of mobile terminals. According to the leaked data, the LG G5 will not be the fastest terminal on the market in 2016. However, it will represent an important advance in terms of performance compared to its predecessor, the LG G4.
The LG G5 ride chipset Snapdragon 820 from Qualcomm processor, which is positioned as the standard of the flagships of the next generation of smartphones. More specifically, the LG G5 would have a quad- core processor running at a clock speed of 1.59 GHz. This processor would be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. With this hardware, the supposed LG G5 would have achieved a score of 2,248 points per core in the Geekbench test. The total result achieved would be 5,061 points.
The results obtained by the LG G5 are very similar to those achieved by other high-end terminals that incorporate the same processor, although it is not the best. These data represent a substantial improvement compared to the results achieved by the LG G4. Last year LG chose not to use the Snapdragon 810 chipset due to its heating problems. The LG G4 finally mounted a processor Snapdragon 808 from Qualcomm. The score achieved by the LG G4 in the same test, Geekbench, was 1,076 points per core, with a total result of 3,379 points. If we pay attention to the test results, the LG G5 will be much faster than the LG G4.
According to rumors circulating on the internet, the LG G5 will incorporate a 5.3-inch screen with Quad HD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) . What is confirmed is that it will have the Always On Display function, that is, the screen will always remain on. According to rumors, the battery integrated in the LG G5 would be 2,800 milliamps, something scarce for a high-end terminal. As for the integrated cameras, the LG G5 could incorporate a dual 16 megapixel camera main camera. The front camera would be 8 megapixels.
But LG is a company that likes to take risks and innovate. What surprise will the LG G5 bring us ? All the media assume that the new Korean flagship will incorporate a fingerprint scanner. However, other more “daring” sources suggest that LG could distinguish itself from other manufacturers by including an iris scanner instead of the typical fingerprint scanner. Or perhaps, what differentiates the new LG from its competitors is a removable battery, as has been published in some media.
There is not much left to know what the new LG G5 will bring us. The Korean company will present it on February 21, just a few hours before Samsung's presentation. We will be attentive to any news.
