The race to have the most protagonist screen, without frames or elements that distract the user's attention, is causing manufacturers to devise new formulas to incorporate the front sensor. We have already seen mobiles with notch, screen perforation or retractable camera that is activated at the time of taking a selfie. Motorola under the Lenovo umbrella would go a step further and have registered several patents whose sketches reveal a terminal with different types of slide-out camera.
The new patents granted are for different types of sliding mechanisms, which, when surfaced, reveal a forward-facing camera module. It is not something new, we can say that it would be a design very similar to the current Lenovo Z5 Pro, which landed with a fairly simple sliding camera, or even the Samsung Galaxy A80, although without being rotary. That is, this sliding system would be hidden in the terminal itself and would have nothing to do, a priori, with the main sensor.
Other than this, not much is known about the smartphones that would include this system in terms of specifications and features. Sources indicate that the devices could be the successors to the Lenovo Z5 Pro and Z5 Pro GT, which, as we say, landed with a sliding front camera to house the front sensor. Both teams were announced last November, so it is possible that until the end of the year we will not have official information about their successors.
In addition to this sliding camera system, the Lenovo Z5 Pro has a 6.39-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution, a 16 + 24 MP dual camera with f / 1.8 aperture, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, accompanied by 6 GB of RAM memory. This model also includes a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging and an on-screen fingerprint reader.
