EMUI 10 has finally brought the long-awaited dark mode to Huawei. This mode can be activated in a relatively simple way through the Settings application. Unfortunately, there are still some phones of the brand that have stagnated in EMUI 9. For both versions there are many themes for Huawei that allow us to add and customize the dark mode of the system, regardless of whether or not it has the aforementioned function.. This time we have made a compilation of several of these themes, which are offered for free in the Play Store, the Google application store.
Since we will use third-party applications, most are compatible with EMUI 8, 9, 9.1 and 10 and all the devices of it brand. Huawei P10, P20, P20 Lite, P20 Pro, P30, P30 Lite, P30 Pro, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Lite, Mate 20, Mate 20 Lite, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro, P Smart 2019, P Smart Plus 2019, P8 Lite, Y3, Y5, Y6, Y7, Y9 and a long etcetera.

Dark Emui 10
One of the best themes for Huawei. The issue in question moves the dark mode to all parts of the system, including applications that are not compatible a priori, as is the case with WhatsApp. It does so with a blue hue that is applied to the settings and icons displayed in applications, such as the quick settings bar, the lock screen, the phone dial or the Settings application.
Dark Emui 9.1
If our Huawei mobile has not yet received EMUI 10, this theme for EMUI 9.1 can do the trick for us. Its appearance, in fact, is practically traced to that of the previous application, although it does not belong to the same group of developers. The difference starts from the main shade - cyan blue. The rest of the characteristics are the same.
Pure Dark 5.0
A theme that is advertised as compatible with EMUI 5, 8 and 9 and that transfers the dark mode to all the applications of the system. The colors are very similar to the previous one, although its main difference is found in the background that it adds to the applications. If we have EMUI 9.1 we can use this other application that the developer has created specifically for the mentioned version of the system.
G-Pix Android Q
A theme that tries to apply a pure Android aesthetic to our Huawei phone. It does so with a series of dark colors that transform native Huawei apps into Android Stock apps.
It is compatible with both EMUI 5 and 8 and EMUI 9, although in the latter it presents some interface problems that are supposed to be solved in future updates.
S10 One UI Dark
If the previous application tries to turn our Huawei mobile into a Google Pixel, S10 One UI Dark tries to simulate the aesthetics of One UI, Samsung's customization layer.
Through totally dark colors, specifically designed for AMOLED screens, the aesthetics of the applications simulate the appearance present in the South Korean firm's mobiles. In our experience one of the best dark themes for Huawei.
MIUI 11 Dark
As the name itself suggests, it is a theme that simulates part of the aesthetics of MIUI 11, the latest version of Xiaomi's customization layer. In addition to darkening all the system applications, it has icons very similar to those of the Asian firm's mobile phones.
Compatible with EMUI 9 and EMU 9.1, the only downside of the application is found in the notifications, as they are shown in white due to the limitations of the system itself.
Pitch Black
One of the most complete themes for Huawei mobiles. In addition to installing a dark mode on the system, it has custom icons and backgrounds, as well as a cleaner navigation bar in aesthetic terms. The bad news is that it only supports EMUI 5 and 8. The rest of the versions will report errors in the interface, as we have been able to experience in an Honor 9 Lite.
iOS 13 Dark UI
Another theme that tries to imitate the aesthetics of competing mobiles, as is the case of Apple with its iPhone. iOS 13 Dark UI emulates in a fairly successful way the interface of the latest version of iOS: icons, fonts, applications…
In addition to adding a dark mode to EMUI, it has a control center, better known as Control Center in iOS, which brings back a series of quick adjustments to the phone's lock screen.
Clay Light & Dark Ui
With minimalism as the flag, the theme developed by the EMUI Theme team comes in two versions: one in light color and one in dark color for OLED screens. The most remarkable thing about the subject in question, beyond the possibility of configuring the colors, is the number of icons it integrates and the customization of the different system applications. Unfortunately, it only supports EMUI 5 and 8, at least as of today.
Mountain Dark
We come to the last topic with a proposal by Aurel whose aesthetic can be seen in the image that presides over this article. Today it is the most complete dark mode theme that we have been able to find for Huawei phones.
It has more than 5,000 custom application icons, in addition to a very attractive font along with a series of icons that are integrated into some parts of the system, such as the navigation bar or the Settings application. Unfortunately, its compatibility is limited to teams with EMUI 5 and EMUI 8, although we can always use other themes from the same developer compatible with EMUI 9 and EMUI 10. Most, however, are paid.
