The problems with the erratic autonomy of the iPhone 4S were the most talked about after the launch of Apple's new touch phone. But they were not the only ones. There were times when Siri also starred in some slippage in popularity -with communication problems with the Apple servers that work the magic of the virtual assistant of this terminal-, even in recent days this digital butler has once again taken the covers for its inappropriate language. But among all of them, one of the incidents that has been least talked about has been the audio problems that some units of the iPhone 4S register.
Since it was put on sale, this device has been the center of complaints from several users in the Apple support forums because of problems in the sound emission during some calls. And far from being solved with the iOS 5.0.1 update -which among its improvements included precisely this-, the problem continues to plague a part of those who were already affected by the situation.
This is clear in the last entries of the thread dedicated to the aforementioned incident. The problem manifests itself with some calls, in which the user of the iPhone 4S perceives the incoming audio, but the interlocutor does not receive the signal from the apple microphone, which for some unknown reason is not able to register the voice of the owner of the iPhone.
What makes you think that it is not a hardware problem is the fact that the situation is not constant, but occurs sporadically, so the index could be due to an error in the connection of the call. At the time, there was already evidence of a similar situation, but on that occasion focused on the use of the hands-free using accessories - regardless of its brand, so a defective game by Apple was ruled out.
At the moment, there is no effective solution to the problem. There are several fixes suggested by those affected, such as restarting calls, pausing the conversation, putting and removing the silence option or even restarting the terminal itself. However, they are simple patches in the face of a situation that, although it does not affect a majority of customers, is certainly too uncomfortable for a terminal like the iPhone 4S.
