The Oppo Reno has been one of the most prominent terminals in recent months. This device came to compete against the Huawei P30 Pro with a telephoto camera with a 5x zoom, and also, with very interesting features, such as a retractable front camera, on-screen fingerprint lens and a minimum RAM of 6 GB. Now, the Oppo Reno and the Reno Z are renewed with a second generation where they mainly stand out for the camera. All about the lenses of the new Oppo Reno2 and Reno2 Z.
We start talking about the photographic section of the Oppo Reno2, since it is the flagship of the company. This terminal, like the little brother, has a quadruple main camera. The primary lens is 48 megapixels, a Sony sensor with an aperture f / 1.7 that will allow us to take pictures with a normal angle, and that will also allow us to capture more detail and more light. It is accompanied by a second 8 megapixel camera. This one has a focal aperture f / 2.4, somewhat less bright, which will make night photography difficult. However, it focuses on the wide angle. That is, we can take panoramic photographs of landscapes, buildings or even a group of people. It has an angle of 116 degrees. The fourth lens is one of the protagonists, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor and focal f / 2.2. This tele lens allows us to do a hybrid zoom (a mixture of optical and digital) of up to 5x, and we can go up to 20x in digital format. Finally, the 2 megapixel sensor is designed for black and white photography. In addition to the camera settings, we also find a night mode,Scene recognition through AI and a Super macro mode for close-up photography.
Summarizing; The first camera of the Reno2 will allow us to take normal photographs and with a high level of detail. The second sensor is dedicated to wide-angle photography, while the third is a telephoto lens for zoom . The last sensor is a support lens for the main camera, and it allows us to take pictures in black and white. But not only in photography there are news. Oppo has added a new stabilization mode in video recording. This mode uses hybrid stabilization. That is, it mixes optical and digital stabilization to achieve better stabilization. This will allow us to record in motion without noticing any tremor in the video. Another novelty in video recording is that we can also blur the background.
Oppo Reno front camera
The Oppo Reno2 Z has a very similar camera setup. The main 48 MP sensor is maintained, as well as the secondary with wide angle. We lose the zoom to include a depth of field lens, which helps for photos with a blur effect. The 2 MP monochrome lens is kept.

Beyond the cameras, the new Oppo Reno2 and Reno2 Z mount a 6.5-inch panel with Full HD + resolution and AMOLED technology. The difference in the panel is in the aspect ratio (20: 9 on the Reno2 and 19.5: 9 on the Reno2 Z). Also in the crystal residence. The Reno 2 has Gorilla Glass 6, while the Reno 2Z has Gorilla Glass 5. Both have the same RAM configuration: 8 GB, with 256 GB in the Reno2 and 128 GB in the Z model. As for the processor, the Oppo Reno more powerful has a Snapdragon 730. The Z model bets on an MTK P90. Both with 4,000 mAh battery and fast charging.
In terms of design, both inherit the same look as the previous generation. Here the differences are few. Slightly more compact dimensions on the Oppo Reno2. This device has a very different retractable camera mechanism - the 'shark fin' is held. Instead, the Reno2 Z opts for a more classic retractable camera. In the previous generation we had a drop-type notch that occupied part of the front.
