The iPhone of 2019 will be presented in September, but we are already hearing some rumors about the iPhone of 2020. The American company is already preparing new devices for next year, and the reports are compiling all the new features that could reach the models. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst specialist in Apple products has confirmed some benefits. The 2020 iPhone will have an OLED panel, models with 5G connectivity and a screen of almost 7 inches will arrive.
It seems that Apple will no longer release iPhones with LCD panels. The company could opt for OLED technology on all 2020 models, even the cheapest ones. OLED panels offer more saturated colors, but pure blacks, with dull pixels that also allow us to save battery. The 2020 iPhone XR is expected to feature this technology, as well as a 6.1-inch screen and thinner bezels than the current model.
New screen size: 6.7 inches
There is also talk of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Xs, or the terminals that would replace the iPhone of 2019. A change in the screen size is expected, since they could also have a better use of the front. On the one hand, the iPhone 12 model would have a 5.4-inch panel, while the Max model would go up to 6.7 inches.
Apple said a few weeks ago that they currently did not plan any device with 5G, but that they would later start working with this technology. According to Kuo, the most powerful model of the iPhone will have 5G connectivity, but this version may be announced in a few years.
The 2019 iPhones will be announced in September. Three versions are expected: the successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max, which will arrive with triple cameras, and a new iPhone XR that could be announced with a dual main camera. We will be attentive to more news about these devices.
