Little by little, the Finnish Nokia continues with a firm step the path started last February with the announcement of the alliance with Microsoft, and which extends its own service organization to some points. As it seems, everything that we have known as Ovi ( door , in Finnish) is renamed Nokia Services, with a view to reinforcing the house brand, something that is already reflected in the application store.
From Nokia Beta Labs have released test access to the Nokia Store, I showcase formerly known as Ovi Store (or Ovi Store). This test access can be installed in the form of an application, which will serve as a gateway to the application store as we will see it in a few weeks on the firm's mobiles natively.
In fact, in the Nokia Store web option (accessible from browsers, either on mobile phones or from a computer) they have already started that small transition from Ovi Store to Nokia Store.
The domain is still the old one, although the site designation has changed to the new name. The question in this regard is whether at the time when access to the Nokia Store is common to all users, the company will also redirect to a domain that leaves the Ovi brand (which seems more than likely).
New functions have also been added. A simple and intuitive lower navigation menu is inserted that allows us to go back between the options that we have consulted, as well as quick access to predefined options of the store.
In addition, the new Nokia Store includes the possibility of customizing some sections in our access profile, in case our preferences when searching for certain applications are almost always the same
If you want to start learning about the new Nokia Store, you can download the Store QML client v3.16.030 application, available from the Nokia Labs website. The mobile phones compatible with the application are those that currently work with Symbian Anna, the most up-to-date version of the operating system for smartphones from the Finnish firm.
That is, you will have to have a Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7, Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia X7 or Nokia E6 to install the application and, therefore, access the new Nokia Store.
