Design and display
The new Orange Nura is a large smartphone smartphone, so much so that it competes directly in the phablet league. It has dimensions of 150 x 76 x 8.5 mm and weighs about 165 grams, including battery. It is, as you can see, a light phone, easy to hold and very pleasant to the touch. The front part is practically taken by the screen, whose dimensions reach 5.5 inches(in diagonal). On the sides we find the corresponding buttons to control the volume, the switch to turn the phone on and off, a 3.5 mm output for headphones and a microUSB input, useful for charging the phone and of course, for synchronizing information.
Screen, one of its most important elements, runs through the IPS technology and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, ensuring users viewing media content on excellent quality, even from an angle of 180 degrees.
Camera and multimedia
And now let's take a look at another of its most important components: the camera. And the fact is that the Orange Nura is planted with a good 8 megapixel main sensor, prepared to obtain images in a more than remarkable resolution. To this feature we must add different tools that will help us improve the quality of the images, both when capturing them and afterwards, in editing tasks. We refer, for example, to touch zoom, autofocus, panoramic mode, night mode, continuous shooting or the different filters that will allow us to edit the images with a multitude of options. This same camera offers us the possibility of recording videos (1080p). Finally, we must point out that in the front of the team are located a secondary camera with 5 megapixel sensor, specially designed for selfies or make video calls.
In the multimedia section, the Orange Nura is not short either. And it is compatible with a large majority of file formats (both music, video and audio), among which we find the following: MP3, Midi, AAC, AMR, WAV, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, 3GP, MP4, 3GPP. The size of the screen, more than five inches, plays absolutely in favor of the multimedia capacity of this smartphone . And it is that thanks to its dimensions, users will have the possibility of viewing content in a much more comfortable way than with any smaller screen. In addition, thanks to the 4G connection, they will also be able to download data more quickly and connect to services such asSpotify or YouTube, thus expanding your entertainment possibilities.
Power and memory
But if there is one feature that we should pay attention to, it is the processor. And is that the new Orange Nura has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, composed of a quad-core architecture and developed to run at a 1.2 GHz clock frequency. This piece combines its operation with 1 GB of RAM, a capacity loose-fitting yet discreet for a phone that promises maximum performance and connectivity potential. For this reason, we would recommend that all users of this smartphone not overload it with content and applications. In addition to making it work as fast as it did on the day of its premiere, we will extend its useful life exponentially.
In the internal memory section, the Orange Nura has an average capacity of 16 GB that the user can use to save all kinds of content and applications. However, if this space is not enough, you will always have the possibility to expand it with microSD cards of up to 32 GB.
Operating system and applications
As with most phones today, this Orange Nura also works through the fashionable operating system: Android version 4.4.2 KitKat, one of the latest that we will find available on the market, before the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone brings with it all the most important features and news, as well as direct access to the main functions and applications that Google makes available to its customers. Thus, as soon as we take the phone out of the box we will find some of the following apps installed: Google Search, Google Mail, Google Talk, Google Drive, Google Maps with Navigation, Google Plus, YouTube, Picasa, etc. Logically, users will also have the opportunity to quickly connect to Google Play, the application store that the Mountain View company has open for those users who want to expand or improve the operation of their smartphone .
Connectivity
And let's talk now about connectivity, because the Orange Nura is a device perfectly equipped with the latest technologies that exist on the market. According to its technical data sheet, the phone is compatible with 4G networks (LTE, Cat4, 50 Mbps, 150 Mbps DL) and 3G (HSDPA at 21 Mbps / HSUPA 5.76 Mbps), but also with other technologies such as WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC, which means enjoying good capacity for data transfer at all levels. In the section on physical connections, we have to mention the basics: a microUSB 2.0 input, a 3.5 mm output for headphones and a microSD card slot that will help us expand the internal memory of the computer.
Autonomy and availability
And we end this review by examining a very important feature: the battery. In this case, the Orange Nura is equipped with a lithium-ion piece with a fairly comfortable capacity: 3,100 milliamps. According to the brand itself, the phone will be able to offer us an autonomy of up to 13 hours of conversation or the equivalent of more than a day operating at full capacity. It should be borne in mind, however, that this capacity can be affected by multiple external factors such as the state of the battery (we must not lose sight of the fact that over time they lose powers), the functions that the user keeps active or even the temperature.
Regarding its availability, Orange has already announced that the Orange Nura will be on sale to its customers from this month of November. Its sale price to the public, for those who want to get it in free format, will be 200 euros. Those who decide to formalize a contract with Orange will be able to save a little more on its acquisition. In that case, the same phone will cost you 130 euros.
