After several leaks, the characteristics of the new R9 smartphone from the Chinese brand Oppo are now official: it is a phone with a 5.5-inch screen, a 16 megapixel front camera (yes, front) and a very 64GB wide. The ultra-fast charging system VOOC Flash also stands out, which grants up to two hours of autonomy with a 5-minute charge.

The Oppo R9 phone has a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded with an external microSD card of up to 128 GB. With this storage trend in high-end smartphones , it seems that space problems will cease to be "" for the moment "" a headache for users.
The biggest bet of the company, however, is in the cameras: the front is 16 megapixels. A resolution that places it even above the main camera, which stays at 13 megapixels. It seems that a significant part of the target audience is selfie-loving buyers , and in that sense they are not going to be disappointed.
The Oppo R9 has a double SIM card slot and has its own fingerprint recognition system integrated, both for unlocking the phone and for payments. In this sense, time and user experiences will tell us if the system is really secure, although this biometric system has almost become the norm in the market for a few months now.
As for the dimensions, we are facing a terminal of 151.8 mm x 74.3 mm x 6.6 mm and a weight of 145 grams. The space dedicated to the screen is used to the maximum, since the lateral "margins" measure only 1.66 mm.
The Oppo R9 uses its own operating system (Color OS 3.0) based on Android. The company promises that it is 25% faster than the Color 2.1 present in previous models such as the Oppo R7 and R7s.
Ultra-fast charging in 5 minutes
So far, the technical characteristics mentioned are more than convincing. However, if the Oppo R9 actually boasts something, it is the VOOC Flash ultra-fast charging system, which we already saw in some previous models and that with only 5 minutes of power could grant up to two hours of autonomy on call. At least those are the results of numerous laboratory studies, but the company claims that actual performance may vary. In any case, it is good news that there is the possibility of getting a lot of autonomy time for the phone with a charge of only 5 minutes.
The Chinese smartphone Oppo R9 can be reserved now and will go on sale next March 24 for 2799 yen, which is equivalent to about 383 euros. At the moment it only appears in the Chinese version of the company's page, but it is expected that in the coming days updated information will appear in other languages and with prices in other currencies. However, taking into account the price in yen and the technical specifications as a reference, everything indicates that in the rest of the countries it will also be sold as a high-end mobile with interesting features and at a competitive price.
