The Chinese mobile phone brand Oppo has just launched a new smartphone that is added to its already bulky catalog, the Oppo R17 Neo. This new device joins the others already presented that place the fingerprint sensor under the screen, in order to offer the user a real, frameless panel. The phone has been launched in Japan with a price of 38,988 yen, just over 300 euros to change. It can be purchased in two colors, gradient blue and red.
Specifications of the new Oppo R17 Neo
At first glance, the Oppo R17 Neo is a terminal that follows current design fashion, that is, a screen without frames, a colorful and elegant color, rounded edges… But what is most striking is, of course, the inclusion of fingerprint sensor under the screen. The user will only have to place a finger to unlock the terminal.
It is also a large terminal. The measurements of this Oppo R17 Neo are 158.3 x 75.5 x 7.4 millimeters and it has a weight of 156 grams, which makes it a very light device despite its large size. Its screen is 6.4 inches with Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels), and is protected by Gorilla Glass. It is, therefore, an ideal phone for all those who want it for multimedia consumption thanks to its large immersive screen without frames.
Inside we can find an eight-core Snapdragon 660 processor with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz, accompanied by a 4 GB RAM memory and a large internal storage of 128 GB, which can be further expanded thanks to the insertion of a microSD card inside.
As for the photographic section, we have a 16 + 2 megapixel dual main camera. The selfie camera contains no less than 25 megapixels, good news for lovers of self-portraits and social networks like Instagram.
We have Android 8.0 as the operating system version and a 3,600 mAh battery. It also offers LTE 4G, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C connection. It is not yet known if this terminal will make an appearance in Europe. If not, we can always pull from Asian stores that sell their products online.
