From smallest to largest: Oppo A12, Oppo A52 and Oppo A92s.
Oppo has launched three new models for its entry-level and mid-range catalog. These three phones come with different prices and different characteristics. On the one hand, we have the cheapest, which is the A12. The A52 is somewhat more powerful, located in the mid-range, while the third model, the Oppo A92s, is located in the mid-range / high-end category. This is what they offer in features to compete against Xiaomi.
Oppo A12: HD + screen and dual camera
We start by talking about the cheapest, the Oppo A12. This terminal has a polycarbonate back with a very youthful design. The company has opted for a geometric finish to give it a more original touch. On that rear we see a fingerprint reader and a double main camera, which consists of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a second 2-megapixel camera.
As for the characteristics, this A12 mounts a 6.22-inch LCD panel, with an HD + resolution. The Chinese company has opted for a MediaTek chip, specifically, the Helio p35. This eight-core processor is accompanied by 3 or 4 GB of RAM, as well as 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. All this with a 4,230 mAh battery.
Oppo A12: this is how the cheapest model looks.
The Oppo A12 has a widescreen display, it has a drop-shaped notch that houses a 5-megapixel front camera. Oppo's A12 runs on Android 9 with ColorOS 6.1.2.
Oppo A52: the most balanced
The mid-range model already has somewhat more complete specifications. The panel goes up in size to 6.5 inches. It also increases the resolution: Full HD +. In addition, it already includes a processor from the American Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 665. It is an eight-core chip that works with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Its battery is 5,000 mAh with fast charging of 18W.
The Oppo A52 has a camera directly on the screen.
In the photographic section we find a quadruple camera. The primary sensor is 12 megapixels and has an f / 1.8 aperture. It is followed by a second wide-angle camera with a resolution of 8 MP, as well as two more 2-megapixel lenses. One is intended for bokeh and the other for macro photography. The selfie lens is 8 megapixels, and it is located directly on the screen.
In the design we see some improvements. The rear now has a glass surface . The quadruple chamber is in the upper area, with a rectangular shape. There is no fingerprint reader here, as it passes to the side. The front has minimal bezels with a camera built into the screen.
Oppo A92s: 5G and 120 Hz display
The Oppo A92s is already in the mid / high range. We see it in its characteristics. Above all, on the screen. This mobile has a 6.58-inch LCD panel. It has a Full HD + resolution, but they have also added a refresh rate of 120 Hz, to have a more fluid movement when navigating the interface.
The Chinese company has opted for a MediaTek as the brain of this A92s. It is the Chip Dimensity 800 and it is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM, as well as 128 GB of internal storage.

In the photographic section we also see considerable improvements compared to the other models. It has a quadruple camera, but the main one goes up to 48 megapixels. An 8 megapixel ultra wide angle and two 2 MP macro and portrait lenses are also added. The front has a dual sensor of 16 and 2 megapixels. This last lens is a depth sensor.
The battery is 4,250 mAh, perhaps something fair for that screen. However, we have 18W fast charging. The terminal also includes 5G.
It also changes in physical appearance, with a glass rear and a quadruple camera with a square shape. The front is panoramic and the double camera is integrated into the screen. The fingerprint reader is on the side.
Price and availability
Oppo has announced these three mobiles in China. At the moment we do not know which model will arrive in Spain. These are the prices of the different versions.
- Oppo A12: about 150 euros to change.
- Oppo A52: about 210 euros to change.
- Oppo A92s (6 + 128 GB): about 285 euros to change.
- Oppo A92s (8 + 128 GB): about 325 euros to change.
It is a range that we hope to see soon in Spain. Especially for its good value for money. The Oppo A92s is a very interesting alternative to Xiaomi's new Redmi Note 9, especially in terms of design, screen and camera settings. The Oppo A52, although it is also a very good alternative to Redmi phones, can compete against Samsung's Galaxy A. On the other hand, the Oppo A12 is an interesting entry range for the little ones or those who start with their first mobile.
