A new Oppo mid-range terminal hits the market. It is called Oppo A5 and has been officially presented by the manufacturer. For just under 200 euros we will have a mobile with a large screen and a dual camera system. This new device arrives to complete the A family, whose first members (Oppo A1 and Oppo A3) had already been presented.
It had been rumored for a few days. It had even appeared on the TENAA certification. Finally, the Oppo A5 has been made official. The new member of the Oppo A family maintains the notched design and with a really narrow bottom frame. This allows it to house a screen of no less than 6.2 inches. It has a resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels, with a 19: 9 aspect ratio and 2.5D glass to curve slightly to the sides.
Inside the Oppo A5 we have a Snapdragon 450 processor manufactured by Qualcomm. It is a chip with eight cores that can reach a maximum speed of 1.8 GHz. It is built in 14 nanometers and has an Adreno 506 GPU. Accompanying the processor we have 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. A capacity that can be expanded using a MicroSD card of up to 256 GB.
Double camera and a lot of battery
Despite being a mid-range terminal, the dual camera system is not lacking. The Oppo A5 has a 13-megapixel main sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. It is accompanied by a second 2-megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture. This has the function of detecting the depth to, as you already imagine, achieve the desired bokeh effect.
On the front we have an 8 megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 aperture. This has an artificial intelligence system to improve selfies. According to the manufacturer, this system is capable of recognizing 296 facial features to improve selfies.
Among other features we can highlight that the Oppo A5 does not have a fingerprint reader. Imagine that it will have some facial recognition system. Common connectivity such as WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth or GPS is also included.
But if the Oppo A5 stands out in something, beyond its large screen, it is its battery. It is equipped with a 4,230 milliamp battery. If we add to that an undemanding processor and resolution, we should have great autonomy. According to the manufacturer, 11 hours of playing games.
The Oppo A5 will go on sale in China on July 13 with a price of 1,500 yuan, just under 200 euros at the exchange rate. It will be available in two colors: blue and pink. At the moment we do not know if it will reach other markets.
