OnePlus still had cards to show, the presentation in India left us with honey on our lips. Many of us expected the complete series of T terminals, but OnePlus only deigned to show the OnePlus 7T. Today, several weeks later, the appointment is repeated. But this time OnePlus has put the cards on the table: OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. Terminals that arrive with the latest in specifications and with the features that made the OnePlus 7 Pro stand out above its rivals.

OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: sheet metal and paint exercise for the collaboration with McLaren
With a design consistent with current aesthetic canons, OnePlus had little to innovate. The OnePlus 7T Pro maintains the same design lines as its predecessor: front with reduced frames, pop-up camera, screen with curved sides and a rear with the camera module centered in a vertical position. To less expert eyes it would be impossible to distinguish the OnePlus 7T Pro from the OnePlus 7 Pro. The only appreciable difference is in the rear, next to the camera we now have a laser focus.
The design exercise has gone entirely to the OnePlus 7T pro McLaren Edition, this limited edition has distinctive motifs and colors that bring it closer to the racing company. An orange stripe surrounds practically the entire rear of the terminal, as well as this rear instead of having a gradient finish shows serigraphs reminiscent of a racing car engine. The software does not escape design changes, an orange accent and matching icons is what we will find when unlocking the terminal.
OnePlus does not skimp on power for its OnePlus 7T Pro and 7T Pro McLaren Edition
Inside the glass and metal sandwich we find the latest in components. Both the OnePlus 7T Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition mount the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, a version with higher CPU and GPU frequency. The storage is also the same for both terminals, 256GB UFS 3.0. We would have liked to see the 512GB in the special edition, but OnePlus has not seen fit. Instead, the RAM is different, the OnePlus 7T Pro only mounts 8GB while the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition mounts 12GB.
The autonomy of both terminals is marked by a 4,085 mAh battery, an improvement of less than 100 mAh if we compare it with that of the OnePlus 7 Pro. The novelty comes with fast charging, now it is not only Warp, but it also has the tag T. Both terminals can be charged at 30W to what OnePlus has called Warp 30T. This fast charge will allow us to meet those occasions when we need a little push to continue the day. There is no novelty in connectivity either, it maintains the same as the previous generation. We have everything expected for a terminal with these characteristics: dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS; NFC, USB C 3.1.
Photographic section: new macro mode
Despite not having placed too much emphasis throughout the presentation, OnePlus has incorporated a macro mode to its new terminal. This mode will allow us to take photographs of small objects to achieve maximum detail. It is a mode that comes under the same photographic hardware. There is no improvement or renewal in the sensors, we continue with them. The improvements that come are via software, among them improvements in post-processing as well as the implementation of video recording using the wide-angle lens.
If you have not been attentive to the presentation or have forgotten the data of the cameras that the OnePlus 7T Pro mounts, we give you a small reminder. On the front and hidden inside the chassis we have a pop up camera with a 16 megapixel sensor and 2.0 focal length; the rear has three sensors: 48 megapixels with pixel grouping for the main sensor, 8 megapixels for the telephoto lens and 16 megapixels for the wide angle. All these sensors will be helped by laser focus when taking pictures.

Both the OnePlus 7T Pro and its limited edition do not come to innovate, nor do they pretend to do so. OnePlus has gotten us used to these renewals every six months, but that doesn't mean they make sense. The OnePlus 7T is possibly the one that has stood out the best, being almost a OnePlus 7 Pro, but with contained dimensions and no curved screen. The new OnePlus 7T Pro hit the market on October 15, priced at 710 euros for the 7T Pro and 810 euros for the McLaren Edition.
