We are used to leaks related to the flagships each company works on, but the case of the OnePlus 2 breaks all records. And we do not say it because the company is starring in leaks from infiltrators in the company, but because it is OnePlus itself that is confirming the technical specifications of its new flagship. On this occasion, the Asian manufacturer OnePlus returns to the covers after having confirmed (among many other things) that the OnePlus 2 will come with a battery with 3,300 mAh capacity. And as a gift, the company publishes an image in which a OnePlus 2 is hidden under the first OnePlus One.
But the battery is just one of many features that Carl Pei, a senior OnePlus official, has confirmed in an open discussion thread on the American Reddit forum. Among the features of the OnePlus 2 that are mentioned in this discussion we will mention the existence of two variants of OnePlus 2 with different bands (one for Europe and one for the United States, to ensure that there are no problems with coverage), the incorporation of a charging cable longer than that of the OnePlus One, a renewed design compared to its predecessor and, as regards the launch of theOnePlus 2, the purchase priority that users who have previously purchased the OnePlus One will have (without further details about it).
In this discussion thread, Carl Pei also confirmed the features that we can be sure the new OnePlus 2 wo n't incorporate, and that includes theheart rate sensor and, most likely, the wireless charging technology.
But, if this confirmation knows us little (really, the most interesting is the data of the 3,300 mAh capacity in the battery), just take a look at the previous confirmations that OnePlus has made regarding its next mobile. The OnePlus 2 will have a starting price of between 300 and 400 euros, it will incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with the overheating problems supposedly solved (said processor will be accompanied by a 4 GigaBytes RAM (LPDDR4), it will come with a charging port fast (USB Type-C)), somewhere on the case you will have a fingerprint reader… And, in case we did not have enough, we can also confirm that the OnePlus 2 will be presented on July 27.
Beyond these characteristics, the truth is that there are still technical specifications to be confirmed of the new OnePlus 2. For now, according to rumors, this terminal will be presented with a 5.5-inch screen (and, apparently, it will be the reduced side frames that will allow it to be somewhat more compact than the OnePlus One, which also came with a screen of this same size). The resolution will be established in the quality Quad HD, which means that talk of a screen with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The internal storage will be available will offer a capacity of 64 GigaBytes, and nothing makes us think that it will be expandable. The main camera also receive improvements, and will incorporate a sensor of 16 megapixels. All this according to rumors, of course.
Next July 27 we will leave doubts regarding the new OnePlus 2. The lucky ones who have had the possibility to reserve the OnePlus Cardboard will also have the possibility of following the presentation of this mobile through virtual reality technology.
