After the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S5 it was practically taken for granted that the South Korean manufacturer Samsung would not release any “ Active ” version of this terminal as it did with the previous Samsung Galaxy S4 and its respective Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. The reason for this assumption is brief and simple: the “ Active ” versions of this manufacturer are characterized by being resistant to water and dust, and precisely the new S5 already incorporates both specifications as standard. But, beyond what we can suppose, it seems that there are still reasons to believe in the arrival of a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active.
This is confirmed by a leaked capture in which you can see a long list of applications that, according to rumors, belongs to the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. This list reveals the almost 300 applications that users will find installed as standard on this new smartphone. So as the first novelty of this terminal, we should highlight the huge list of applications that users will have at their disposal as soon as they turn on the mobile for the first time.
But the really interesting thing about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active would be its improved resistance to water and dust. While the Galaxy S5 is IP67 certified (allowing it to be submerged to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes), the Galaxy S5 Active would come with IP68 certification. Said certification would grant him the possibility to endure for an hour submerged under up to 1.5 metersdeep. The resistance to dust would probably remain the same: the terminal would withstand falling against sand or against some kind of material divided into small particles.
It is also to be assumed that this improvement in resistance to water and dust will be accompanied by a somewhat more robust design in the case of the terminal. There is the possibility that the entire casing is covered with some elastic material that adds even more resistance to the mobile when it falls against the ground. This would also make a significant difference to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, whose design was much more conservative and elegant.
But we must not forget that we are facing a rumor that has arisen from a simple capture in which only hundreds of names of applications appear. Samsung has not made any official statement in this regard, and it is most likely that we will have to wait practically until the official presentation of this terminal - if there is one - to know its final technical specifications. Probably the interior of this new smartphone will not hide any surprise that it is out of the line of features that currently incorporates the Samsung Galaxy S5, since this type of " Active " versions do not pretend to offer greater power in any of the internal aspects of the mobile.
