Samsung's high-end has always been presented at the end of February at the Mobile World Congress. According to new leaks, we are closer to ruling out a repeat of the tradition in 2017, moving the presentation to April at a special event in New York. According to Sammobile, the word would have spread at the strategic congress that the Korean brand is holding these days in South Korea.
After ensuring that they already know the cause of the malfunction of the Galaxy Note 7, it seems that the ranks are closing in terms of security to confirm that absolutely nothing fails in the new jewel in Samsung's crown. That could explain the delay, although the new information also points to an intention to relaunch the image of the brand by working with advertising companies that prepare a promotional campaign that makes the public regain confidence in their products.
Although the latest reports continue to place Samsung as a leader in mobile sales, its advantage is no longer what it was over the competition, and the data will probably be more adjusted when there are measurements that include the month of November, the month in that the Galaxy Note 7 crisis reached its peak.
Measuring the next step to the millimeter
For Samsung, the premiere of the Galaxy S8 is vital, and everything must be perfect. If it is necessary to delay its departure to test its operation countless times, it will be delayed, but the South Koreans cannot in any case afford another episode like that of the Galaxy Note 7, since it would be a social and economic blow of proportions difficult to measure. Hopes to revive Samsung's image and market position (in Spain closely followed by Huawei) are pinned on the Galaxy S8, and given that the company is putting all the meat on the grillWith scandalous features, it wouldn't make sense to ruin that entire investment with a premature introduction.
