- The Samsung Galaxy S10 will have the front camera located on the sides
- The Samsung Galaxy S10 + might not have a notch
Few doubts remain about the design of the Samsung Galaxy S10. The recent presentation of new screens by Samsung at the Samsung Developer Conference gave us serious clues as to what the company's mobile phones will look like in 2019. Precisely this same morning Samsung has registered new patents related to the supposed screens of its high-end mobile phones. Hours later, what is possibly proclaimed as the most realistic render of the Samsung Galaxy S10 to date based on these patents has been published.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 will have the front camera located on the sides
The tenth version of the Samsung Galaxy S will experience the biggest change in terms of design in all of Samsung's history. This is largely due to the design of its screens, thanks to which most of the components (loudspeaker, brightness and proximity sensors…) will be integrated under the Super AMOLED panel itself. The only question that remained to be resolved was the location of the front camera.
It seems that it will finally be on the left side, as we can see in the patents registered by Samsung a few hours ago. The patents in question reflect the possible design of the Galaxy S10 that will be presented in mid-February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Specifically, the terminal will be made up of a screen with 100% frontal occupancy.
This will be accompanied by a small notch located on the left that will house the front camera of the S10, as well as a sensor for facial unlocking. This is how we can see it in the images above.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 + might not have a notch
If we refer to the Samsung presentation event last week, the company presented up to four screen models for its devices. The one that most caught our attention was undoubtedly the so-called New Infinity. This design stood out for not having any notch on the screen: all the sensors would be located under the panel.
Possible design of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
Although they are not only more than rumors, it would be the Plus version of the Samsung Galaxy S10 that incorporates this design, very similar to the one in the upper capture. The previously registered design would be limited to the base and Lite models of the S10. It is also possible that the fingerprint unlocking under the screen is exclusive to the top of the range model, although we still do not have data to confirm this decision.
