The Japanese manufacturer Sony continues with its batch of updates for all its popular smartphones on the market, and this time we have been able to know some details of the updates that await the Sony Xperia SP and the Sony Xperia C, respectively. The Sony Xperia SP will receive a new update in a matter of a few weeks, while the Sony Xperia C has already received a small update. Here are the exact details of each update.
Let's start with the Sony Xperia SP. This terminal received at the beginning of February the update of the Android operating system corresponding to the version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and as is usual in these cases, some users reported errors and small bugs detected after updating the terminal. Sony is already aware of the problem and we have just learned that the update that will solve these bugs should be released at the end of next April. We do not know if it will be a global update, since the first information only mentions a French mobile operator as the one in charge of publishing this update.
For its part, the Sony Xperia C already has a new update available corresponding to the denomination of 16.0.B.2.13. This is not an operating system update itself (that is, the terminal will continue to work under Android 4.2). What this update does seem to be useful for is to fix the battery failure that causes the mobile to lose up to 30% more autonomy due to a small error. At the moment it does not seem that Sony has plans to update this smartphone to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, something that has been quite demanded by users considering that in recent weeks phones such as the Sony Xperia Mor a wide low-medium range of Xperia have received this operating system update.
Remember that we have two ways to install official updates directly from our mobile, without having to connect it to any computer. The first one consists of simply waiting until our terminal informs us that we have an update available. To do this we have to look at the notification bar, where these types of messages normally appear.
The other way is to manually check if the update is already available for download. In this case we must turn on the phone, go to the list of applications and look for an application with the name of " Settings ". Once we have found this application, we look for the option " About the phone " and, when entering this section, click on the option " Software update ". If the update were available for download, the terminal would inform us of this and allow us to download and install the file in a matter of a few minutes.
