One of the chapters that will be most remembered by technological 2011 in general, and dedicated to telephony in particular, will be the soap opera dedicated to the never-revealed iPhone 5. Indeed, the terminal that would have succeeded the iPhone 4 in design, performance and philosophy was never officially seen, and although after the presentation of the iPhone 4S - at that time, Apple's latest generation official launch - has been Returned time and again to the arguments in favor of the existence of the iPhone 5, in reality it has never been confirmed with tests that the prototype is in the hands of those responsible for Apple.
In any case, there are sources that not only contradict the non-existence of the iPhone 5. In addition, it has been pointed out that Steve Jobs programmed the launch roadmap to be the iPhone 4S - with a design that extends what was seen with the iPhone 4 - the mobile that we saw this year, postponing the presentation of the iPhone 5 to 2012. So much so that it has even been stated, always unofficially, that the posthumous work of the ill-fated founder of Apple will be precisely the iPhone 5, designed to suit the charismatic businessman.
Precisely, that design comes up again these days. From the consulting firm Piper Jeffray they affirm that the appearance that the new iPhone 5 will have will respond to what had been suggested for months in an incessant rumor.
Through information from Apple Insider we know that analyst Gene Munster would have prepared a forecast report on the future of Apple in which he makes it clear that we will come across an iPhone 5 that will have a design that will remind us of what is known by the iPad 2, in addition to integrating the mysterious home button with touch functions. The launch of the terminal is scheduled for summer 2012.
It is still more. With the new line of iPhone installed in the market from the second half of next year, in 2013 Apple's mobile sales forecasts could reach no less than 142 million units, according to Gene Munster. In the case of tablets, the figure would reach, according to the same estimates, 66 million units.
At this point, Piper Jeffray analyst argues that in March Apple would surprise with two new iPads: an iPad 2S, with improved features compared to the 2011 edition, and an iPad 3, which among its renewed features would show off the so vaunted high resolution screen -2,048 x 1,536 pixels-.
In addition, the iPad 2 would continue to be sold as a mid-range tablet, at a cheaper price than at the moment - presumably, 100 euros or dollars less, following the strategy of the iPhone 3GS -, while the new iPad 2S and iPad 3 they would have more powerful processors and native integration with the virtual assistant Siri.
