Samsung is a company that accustoms its users to launch alternative versions of their smartphones. Despite the fact that the Galaxy S4 has been launched this year (specifically in March 2013), everything indicates that Samsung is already working on a new version of this terminal whose arrival is scheduled for the beginning of next year 2014.
Both the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Mini will go on the market again under a new version called " Black Edition ", as reported by the US website www.sammobile.com. The novelties of these two versions will be: a black housing and a double SIM slot that will allow the use of two SIM cards simultaneously in the same terminal. In addition to this, the black color will allow the Super AMOLED screen of the Galaxy S4 to look much sharper and clearer.
The specifications of both terminals would remain intact. The Galaxy S4 Black Edition would consist of a five-inch screen with 1080p resolution and a 13-megapixel main camera. Inside the terminal there will be a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor at 1.6 GHz, 2 GigaBytes of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card. The smartphone would run on a 2,600 mAh battery.
For its part, the Galaxy S4 Mini Black Edition would hit the market with a 4.3-inch screen and an eight-megapixel main camera. Inside a processor would dual-core Snapdragon 400 at 1.7 GHz, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 gigabytes of internal storage and battery 1,900 mAh.
In both cases the terminals would come with the Android 4.3 operating system. If it were the case that they came with a previous version, the user should have the possibility to immediately update the terminal to the latest Android update.
For now, the exact date of the arrival of both versions is unknown. What is to be expected is that Samsung will take advantage of the next MWC (Mobile World Congress, one of the largest mobile phone events in Spain) that will take place in Barcelona between February 25 and 28 to make the presentations of these editions " Black ”of the S4 and S4 Mini.
Today the Samsung Galaxy S4 is available in seven different colors: White Frost (white), Black Mist (dark gray), Blue Arctic (blue), Brown Autumn (brown), Purple Mirage (purple), Red Aurora (red).) and Pink Twilight (pink). Although the Black Mist color is the closest to the black color of the " Black Edition " (without actually being a pure black color), the truth is that until now Samsung always reserves the black editions for a few months after the launch of its terminals.
