It seems that the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 has taken a liking to posing for the camera, and that the device has not yet been officially presented in society but has already been seen in images more than once. Huawei would be preparing the launch of the next edition of its tabletphone for the Consumer Electronics Show or CES, which is held in Las Vegas between January 7 and 10, that is, there is just a week left to start this important appointment. As we said, the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 has already appeared in images on several occasions, but in this case it also confirms some of the technical specificationsthat were being shuffled. The images have been published by Engadget China, the manufacturer's home country, and show various screens of the device, in addition to appearing alongside its predecessor to show its design differences.
When the original model was launched it was crowned the largest smartphone of the moment. The Ascend Mate surpassed the six-inch barrier, a limit that seemed far away even for giants like the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, over time similar devices have started to appear and currently it is no longer the most extensive, but there are others such as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 or the Sony Xperia Z Ultra (6.44 inches) that leave it with the adjective large, but not huge. In any case, the new edition was expected to improve the screen, not in terms of size, which is served, but in resolution. The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 has not modified the screen and continues to bet on the same panel6.1 inches with HD720p resolution, so its density remains at 241 pixels per inch. It would have been a good move to expand the resolution to FullHD, but perhaps this piece would negatively affect the final price.
On the other hand, in the images we see several screenshots that confirm technical data, one of them has to do with the camera. The Chinese manufacturer has not improved the screen, but it has integrated a higher resolution camera, specifically 13 megapixels. On the screen we can see the resolution settings menu, where you can choose between 13, 10, 8, 6 and 5 megapixels in two different formats (16: 9 widescreen or 4: 3 normal). The front camera will have 5 megapixels of resolution. On the other hand, there is also a screenshot of the information menu, where it is confirmed that the Ascend Mate 2 processor will be a 1.6 gigahertz quad-core HiSilicon Kirinand also that it will have 2 Gb of RAM. The internal memory of the terminal will go up to 16 Gb (the previous model had 8 Gb) and will come standard with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, exactly the same version that runs on the current model. Let's hope Huawei speeds up the update process and brings Android 4.3, or better, Android 4.4 KitKat to its next tablet phone so it doesn't lag behind the competition.
