This year Motorola has decided not to present its new phones at the MWC. Just as last year we could see the Motorola Moto G5, this year we will have to wait to see its successor. However, as usual, the leaks do not stop. Today we have seen new images of the Motorola Moto G6 Play. Specifically, they have been filtered by the Taiwanese certification agency NCC. Will the Moto G range return to get the title of the mid-range?
Motorola's Play range is usually characterized by including a large battery. The Motorola G6 Play is expected to have a 4,000 milliamp battery. In addition, according to rumors, it will feature a Snapdragon 430 processor.
Regarding its design, we do not see much change compared to its predecessors. Rounded edges are kept, with a chamber bounded by a circle. The rear looks shiny, although the quality of the photos is not too high.
Large screen
We do see changes at the front. It seems that Motorola will join the trend of screens with reduced bezels. At least the photos show some top and bottom edges that appear to be narrower.
Thanks to this reduction of edges it seems that the Motorola Moto G6 Play will have a 5.7-inch screen. This screen will probably have an HD + resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels.
This reduction of the frames makes it necessary to move the fingerprint reader to the rear. This is located just below the camera.
Android 8.0 and 16 MP camera
Completing the set we will have various memory configurations. Apparently, we will have a model with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. But a Motorola Moto G6 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage will also arrive.
All this will be completed with a 16 megapixel main camera and the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. And, taking into account that we will be facing an economic terminal, we will renounce the USB-C connector.
For now we will have to wait to confirm the characteristics of the Motorola Moto G6 Play. The Motorola Moto G6 and G6 Plus will also arrive shortly.
