The year 2015 is just around the corner, and everything indicates that the undisputed protagonists of the mobile phone market will be high-end smartphones from Asian companies. One of these smartphones will be the Xiaomi Mi5 from the Chinese firm Xiaomi, which just a few hours after starring in a leak has again jumped into the media in the form of a new leaked photograph that has been accompanied by quite revealing information.
Before analyzing the image, it is interesting that we highlight that this leak has been accompanied by information that reveals that the Xiaomi Mi5 could incorporate a digital fingerprint reader. At least that is what they assure from the Italian version of the GizChina website, where they also remind us that at the moment there is also the possibility that the smartphone that appears in these images is, in fact, a new Xiaomi Mi4S (a somewhat largest of the Xiaomi Mi 4 presented this year).
The Xiaomi Mi5 fingerprint reader would be located on the Home button. We would be talking about a security measure implemented in a practically identical way to that incorporated in the smartphones of the South Korean company Samsung (see the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, for example), which also have the fingerprint reader built into the front button of the device. phone.
Regarding the leaked photograph, this new image of the Xiaomi Mi5 does not seem to show the same smartphone as the one we saw yesterday. If we compare this image with the photos leaked yesterday, we will see that the smartphone that appears in them is not the same.
In the image published today there is a mobile phone with a front camera accompanied by an additional sensor, while in the photo leaked yesterday only a front camera appeared without any sensor next to it. The same happens with the Start button, which yesterday appeared in the form of three touch keys that have nothing to do with the design that has appeared in the new filtered photograph of the Xiaomi Mi5. Therefore, at the moment we cannot verify that any of these photographs really correspond to the new Xiaomi Mi5.
The technical specifications of the Xiaomi Mi5 have also leaked. It is said that this smartphone incorporate a screen between 5.5 and six inches with resolution Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 805/810, four gigabytes of RAM and operating system Android in its version of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is scheduled to be officially presented during the month of January.
