A new update called 9.2.A.1.199 is starting to reach the Sony Xperia T, Sony Xperia TX and Sony Xperia V smartphones. It is an update that solves some bugs internally, and we must clarify that we are not facing an update to the Android operating system. Precisely at the beginning of February, these same terminals received an update that incorporated the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. The update should begin to appear on these three smartphones in all countries over the next few hours.
As reported by Sony, this update incorporates three major innovations: improved fluidity of the operating system, greater battery life and corrections internally. The idea of this update is to eliminate any problems that may have appeared on the Sony Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V after their users updated them to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
All users who don't know if they have updated their phone to this latest version can check if they need to download the update by following these simple steps:
- First, we enter the “ Settings ” application of our mobile. It is an easily locatable application since it is usually located in the list of applications under the same name.
- Once inside the application, we must click on the option " About the phone ".
- A new menu will open in which we must look for a section called " Compilation number ". If the code that appears in this section matches the code of this new update (9.2.A.1.199), it means that we do not have our phone updated to the latest. In the event that the code is different, we must enter the " Software update " section and then click on the " Update " option.
Another way to check the availability of the update and, if applicable, download and install it on the mobile, is to connect the mobile to the computer and run the official Sony application for these cases: PC Companion. It is a completely free program that greatly facilitates the task of installing updates on a mobile from this Japanese manufacturer. The only disadvantage of the program that we mentioned is that it requires connecting the mobile with a desktop computer or a laptop.
Recall that in the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update of the Sony Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V, there was also another mobile that received the same update simultaneously: the Sony Xperia SP. Some users have reported that this terminal is generating enough fluidity problems with the latest Android update, so we hope that Sony will not take long to launch an update internally to solve these problems.
