The tablet of Nokia is like the Guadiana: appears and disappears, even as a rumor. At the time, sources from the Finnish multinational denied us that the company had any intention of launching into this market with its own device. By then, it was known of the entente cordiale between the signing of Espoo and Microsoft, although not officially supported that Nokia had plans to exploit the situation between the two to develop a tablet with Windows.
It took several months for Stephen Elop himself, CEO of the Finnish company, to certify that Nokia was really interested in putting on the shelves its own proposal for this sector, although not so much based on an operating system that borders on the segment of smartphones "" as is the case of the Apple iPad or Android terminals "" as in the proposal that Microsoft reserves for us for this 2012: Windows 8.
And it is that Windows 8 will be a system that bets on a hybrid nature between desktop environments and personal screens, and that, as it has been known in recent hours, would be already being tested in the development of the device that Nokia would launch. According to the Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, the Nokia delegation in the Caucasian country would have received documents in which the characteristics of the tablet with Microsoft's system are detailed.
A point that the journalist from the region himself describes as "funny" is that in the same document the Finnish company acknowledges that the Nokia tablet will not be the only one with Windows 8. It was to be expected, however, that this platform is being developed for other systems. In fact, so far it has been known that Asus, HP, Dell or Acer could also be involved in the development of a device designed to work with this system.
At the moment, the technical characteristics that the Nokia device would have have not transcended. A few months ago a series of sketches were leaked, although it was impossible to deduce benefits from those documents.
