In the recent presentation of the Nokia X smartphone at the Mobile World Congress, the Finnish company Nokia cleared us of any doubts related to its adventure with the Android operating system. At first it was believed that the Nokia X would be a terminal completely integrated with Android, but finally we have seen that we are still facing a mobile with the appearance of Windows Phone that incorporates an option that allows you to install some applications of the Google operating system.
And this detail has not liked many users. After all the rumors that we have been receiving throughout the last weeks, many expected to find a Nokia smartphone running entirely under the Android operating system. But even looking at the final result of the Nokia X, there is a way to make this terminal look like Android without the need for any complex modification within the mobile. All we need is a " Launcher“, That is, an application that customizes the appearance of the phone's interface with one or another design depending on how we want our terminal to look. In fact, the US website PhoneArena has already shown in a video what a Nokia X looks like with the Android interface.
Launcher- like apps, or also called as visual-layered apps for customizing Android, are available in many variants for free download on the Google Play store. As can be seen in the video, the appearance that these applications give to the mobile is completely identical to the appearance of an Android phone. We just have to wait to know if these applications will finally be compatible with the new Nokia smartphone.
For those who have not been to the goal, the Nokia X is a terminal that incorporates a screen of four inches with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Inside mobile we have a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8225 of dual - core reaching a clock speed 1GHz accompanied by a memory RAM of 512 megabytes. The internal storage capacity is 4 GigaBytes, although it is expandable up to 32 GigaBytes by means of an external microSD memory card. The battery in this terminal has a capacity of1,500 milliamps. In the multimedia aspect only we have a single main camera with a resolution of three megapixels.
What is really interesting about this phone is its price, since we are facing a terminal that can already be purchased in some countries for only 89 euros. Hopefully this mobile is a small contact with Android by Nokia to launch throughout the year terminals better equipped and compatible with applications of the Google operating system.
