Stephen Elop has shown the first Nokia mobile that carries Windows Phone. As simple as that. The head of the Finnish multinational was pleased to share by surprise, and against all odds, the first prototype that the firm already has in its hands to inaugurate the series with the Microsoft operating system. We know through Engadget colleagues that the code name of this terminal is Sea Ray, and it bears an incredible resemblance to another of the stars of the week from the Espoo company's portfolio: the Nokia N9.
With stylized and very careful lines, this first Nokia with Windows Phone showed in its presentation version 7.1 Mango, an edition of the Microsoft platform that for now has not been officially released, but that is already breathing is the test version of the which is already the first device from the Finnish firm to be seen with the platform developed by those from Redmond.
Of benefits, little or nothing is known. It could only be seen that it will have an eight megapixel camera and dual LED flash, as well as a format that, if it follows in the footsteps of its brother MeeGo (the Nokia N9, as we have said), will set the tone for a screen of about four inches.
The design is really similar, but as Elop himself added during the Sea Ray sample (or C-Ray, it is not yet very clear what the code name of this terminal is), it is not the same proposal, and In fact, on the Windows Phone you can see a start key on the base.
Although Stephen Elop begged not to take videos or photos of the presentation, the point is that the leak has a careful editing with several shots and cameras, which has not taken long to be seen on the network. In any case, it is a pity that it is not known when this terminal could arrive in stores (Elop already said that Nokia is in a position to launch it before the end of the year, but without greater precision) and what price and technical configuration it could incorporate.
